Description

We are seeking an individual to serve as Senior Accountant. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations including monthly close, financial reporting, and Sarbanes Oxley compliance functions.  The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success as an accounting professional as well as a forward-thinking, results-oriented approach.  This is a compelling opportunity to assume senior level accounting responsibilities in a wide range of areas and gain valuable experience with a public company in the Internet space.

  • Participate in monthly accounting close activities including account analysis, accruals, preparation of various accounting schedules and reconciliations for the Company and subsidiaries
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly financials to senior management, as well as SEC regulatory filings including Forms 10Q and 10K
  • Prepare, update and maintain process documents and test internal controls for Sarbanes Oxley compliance, make recommendations to improve policies & procedures
  • Prepare tax periodic schedules and estimates, manage communication with tax professionals
  • Assist in the research of authoritative accounting literatures and provide recommendations for treatment of business transactions
  • Prepare and maintain various accounting reports, analysis and projections

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related
  • CPA or MBA required
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting and auditing with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Public accounting experience required (“Big 4” preferred)
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP, SEC filings and accounting theory
  • Experience with corporate income tax desirable
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to think strategically and exercise sound business judgment
  • Ability to assume a high degree of responsibility and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and people relationship and management skills
