The Marketing Automation Manager will initiate effective, scalable email marketing automation campaigns that translate business goals into increased brand awareness, promotion of services, and conversions of prospects to customers. This role supports the automation roadmap and drives digital marketing success by creating, managing, executing, and analyzing external email campaigns. This includes input into the content strategy, and setup, maintenance, deployment, and regular review of nurture tracks, drip programs, transactional emails, and ongoing external communications.


  • Work with internal teams and external agencies to translate marketing requirements into functional campaigns and workflows within Pardot, Salesforce, and other marketing systems.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize day-to-day and long-term marketing automation infrastructure including drip programs, lead scoring, progressive profiling, segmentation, workflows, scheduling, testing, and tagging.
  • Manage email deliverability, database hygiene, subscription management and compliance with opt-in laws and regulations.
  • Create, monitor, and analyze email reports against KPIs and advise the marketing team of opportunities to improve and optimize performance across audiences. Use insights to inform email content marketing strategy.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide team support related to: list segmentation, email marketing tool capabilities, Spam-related functions, database syncing, and other aspects of email execution, as required.
  • Lead and implement A/B and multivariable testing and customer journey for continuous optimization of click-through and conversion rates.
  • Effectively project manage and communicate with the team and external vendors throughout the creative and development process.
  • Edit and proof e-mail templates for accuracy and brand integrity and provide best practices for email copy and campaigns.
  • Maintain a current understanding of modern marketing automation industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies.


  • Bachelor's Degree required, focus in Marketing, Business or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working with automation tools such as Pardot, Marketo, Eloqua, or Hubspot along with Salesforce CRM
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in email campaign building and list segmentation
  • Experience with lead generation and knowledge of lead flow practices
  • Knowledge of CAN-SPAM regulation
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized self-starter who is proactive, can work independently, execute quickly, and prioritize
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes a plus
