Description

PURPOSE, OBJECTIVES, FUNCTIONS:

 

Responsible for successful operations of all information technology systems and initiatives across the company. Manages outside vendors to ensure all IT related systems and functions are operational and secure.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Essential Functions:

 

Oversee all technology operations across company.  Support a growing IT infrastructure of 350+ Workstations, Laptops and Mobile Devices.  Install, upgrade, troubleshoot and maintain HP and Mac laptops.

Ensure key tasks are accomplished such as:

Perform tasks including monitoring, storage and backup, server performance tuning and upgrades. Provide desktop/telephone support, software training and troubleshooting to end users locally and at remote sites. Asset and system management to include inventory, system improvements, upgrades and replacements. Purchase, configure and maintain Apple & Android mobile devices. Support the ERP system (SAGE).

 

Analyze the business needs of all departments and serve as a resource on projects that utilize technology resources.

  • Ensure network security and protection of corporate information.
  • Oversee IT budget.
  • Direct and manage outside vendors supporting all IT functions.
  • Research, recommend, and implement new solutions in support of project and business requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate backup and Disaster Recovery strategies.
  • Manage user administration and ensure environment security and stability.
  • Develop and document system configurations and procedures as appropriate.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, engineering technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Eight years’ computer systems installation and troubleshooting experience.
  • Able to work with all levels of staff whether individually or in a team environment.
  • Able to operate computers and associated MAC and Windows Server operating systems and programs, including MS Office programs, at the level required to successfully perform the essential responsibilities of the position.
  • Able to travel and attend training and meetings out of state as needed.
